Auld Spells — "Sweet Disease"

Food & Drink Spread

A music video for Edinburgh-based band Auld Spells

In “Sweet Disease,” a woman enters the woods on a quest to connect with her shadow self.

While developing the concept for the video, Mills drew inspiration from the low-fi/low-budget aesthetics of 1980’s sword and sorcery movies like Deathstalker 1 & 2, horror movies like Pumpkinhead and the music videos of the legendary Swedish metal band Candlemass.

For Mills, this project was a labor of love. The video was fully funded by Mills herself. She helped edit and shoot the video, and was also its art director, colorist and wardrobe stylist.
